Wellington Down Syndrome Picnic Day

We had some of the worst weather Wellington has seen for years leading up to our family day this year. After having to cancel the 1st scheduled day things were not looking good for our second option either. But with a last minute ring around we found we still had more than enough families interested for it to go ahead.

Fun was had by all. Glad to see lots of new faces and a chance to catch up with old friends. The kids had an absolute ball. Trailer rides behind the quad around the farm beats walking any day. As for sack races when was the last time you got in a sack with your child?

Horse rides as usual were a favourite with all the kids big and small.

But at the end of the day we all know it's the animals the kids really loved to see and play with. The photos don't do it justice, I think every child went home very happy and very tired. All in all a very enjoyable day had by all.
