Get ready to vote in the 2026 General Election
The 2026 General Election is coming up on Saturday 7 November, and we want to make sure everyone in our WDSA community has the information and support they need to take part.
The Electoral Commission has produced an Easy Read guide to enrolling and voting, developed with input from People First New Zealand, Ngā Tāngata Tuatahi.
The guide explains:
what happens when you go to vote
your party vote and electorate vote
how to get support to enrol and vote
other voting options if you can't get to a voting place
You need to be enrolled by midnight on Sunday 25 October, and voting starts on Monday 26 October.
