Success in School Workshop - 3rd and 4th August.

Supporting a child with Down syndrome at school can sometimes feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate it alone.

Our friends at the Auckland Down Syndrome Association are running their popular Success in School Workshop online via Zoom on 3rd and 4th August 2026.

Held twice each year, this practical two-day workshop is designed primarily for those supporting primary school students with Down syndrome, although the content is relevant for all school levels.

The workshop is suitable for parents and whānau, teachers, teacher aides, SENCOs, outreach teachers, specialist staff, occupational therapists and speech-language therapists. Presenters are experts in their fields who are passionate about enhancing the education experience of people with Down syndrome and other learning challenges.

Dates: 3rd and 4th August 2026
Format: Online via Zoom
Time: 8.45am to approximately 2.30pm each day

Registration

The workshop costs $400 per person.

WDSA has funding available to help cover registration costs for members who would like to attend.
